Articulate
Articulate is an innovative charity working internationally with disadvantaged children and young people, running creative projects to help them build crucial self development skills. They engaged me in Summer 2017 to photograph different aspects of their "Moving Horizons" project.
Articulate director Lynn Weddle said of my work "Lyndsey worked with Articulate to document our Arts Council funded project titled 'Moving Horizons’ in which we engaged a group of young people who identify as refugee and asylum seekers living in Brighton and Hove. Our project artists worked with the group over a 3 month period towards a family workshop and a showcase event at the Brighton Kite Festival. Lyndsey very sensitively documented these events and captured the energy, colour and positivity of the project. We are so pleased, the images are perfect to showcase our work for all involved. Thank you Lyndsey."

Emmaus Brighton
Emmaus Brighton is a wonderful project helping people move on from homelessness by offering them meaningful work and a place to stay. Since 2012 I have been using my camera to document life in the community, and the photos have been used to share stories with internal and external stakeholders as well as the general public. Read a reference from Emmaus here.
I also exhibited at Emmaus for the Brighton Photo Fringe 2016. See the exhibition pieces from "My Emmaus".

Trust for Developing Communities
Trust for Developing Communities (TDC) is a fantastic organisation enabling and empowering local projects to work together to tackle issues affecting them. Between 2015 and 2020 they hired me to document many of their events to capture the community spirit and engagement. I wrote case studies to accompany the images and supported TDC in communicating the images to stakeholders and the wider public through a variety of communication channels.
A number of my photos, including some pro-bono work, were featured in the local press as a part of the Protect Youth Services campaign in early 2017, including on the front page of local newspaper The Argus on 20th February. Read references from TDC here and here.

The Bevy
The Bevy in Brighton is the first community owned estate pub in the UK and much more than just a pub, playing host to all manner of community events. Over the years I have been attending and documenting some of what goes on at The Bevy, from parties and community lunches to an online visit from HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, the photos of which made their way to the Clarence House twitter and instagram.
