Emmaus Brighton is a wonderful project helping people move on from homelessness by offering them meaningful work and a place to stay. I am lucky enough to have worked with Emmaus since 2012 on various initiatives and in Summer 2015 they commissioned me to take a series of pictures illustrating life in the community to be used for the relaunch of their website.
During the course of my work with Emmaus I also collected a variety of case studies, interviewing individuals to find out about life in the community. Two of my favourites can be found on the Emmaus website: Robbo and Denise.
Joel Lewis, Business Manager at Emmaus Brighton & Hove said "Lyndsey is a talented photographer with an eye for great composition. Emmaus Brighton & Hove is an organisation that is all about the people and Lyndsey’s style managed to capture and illustrate how amazing and individual we all are." Read a full reference from Joel here.
I also exhibited at Emmaus for the Brighton Photo Fringe 2016. See the exhibition pieces from "My Emmaus".
