The Bevy in Brighton is the first community owned estate pub in the UK. Funded by over 700 shareholders and re-built and decorated by an army of volunteers The Bevy is much more than just a pub. The pub plays host to all manner of events and I attended and documented their inaugural Homegrown Fayre. Local people brought along their homegrown and homemade goods in the hope of winning a prize and as well as pumpkin carving to take part in, there were lots of locally grown jams and homemade cakes to taste and buy.
